Volunteer Opportunities
At Federation Early Learning Services, our volunteers come to us in a variety of ways and for a variety of reasons. Some come to us independently; others through organized programs. The two things that they have in common are that they care about children and they want to make a difference.
Our need for volunteers is great.
In the past we’ve had: Preteens preparing for their bat or bar mitzvah collect children's books and read to them in our classrooms High school students interested in community service spruce up our centers by washing chairs or planting flower gardens College and graduate students work directly with children completing course assignments and practicum placements Employees from the corporate sector participate in United Way's Day of Caring (e.g. painting, carpentry, etc.) Seniors through an organized program or their own initiative read to children, assist the classroom teacher, work in our office or develop their own involvement
Give us a call and let’s discuss your interests and our needs to see how we can work together.
